Bridges to Presence are exercises used to increase
body awareness and presence

Bridges to  presence are not exercises done for mere mechanical reasons or trying to become fit. What matter are your intention and the attention you do the exercise with. There is no specific outcome for the exercise nor a certain way it should feel. The aim is for you to feel your body more and increase your physical abilities. Not for mere physical purposes. You are your body and you embody how you are – on all levels – in your life.

You can practice any exercise you know and use it as a bridge to presence. It’s what makes all the difference between embodying what you do and are and doing it disembodied, empty, to reach your exercise goals or to check something off your list.

As Wayne Dyer said, ‘out intention creates our reality’. Whatever you do, do it with intention and attention. It can make a world of a difference.

What are bridges to presence?

Bridges to presence is what I like to call exercises, because how I use and teach them they are a means to make you more aware of yourself. An exercise is one tool that can literally be your bridge to being more yourself. This is the main purpose they serve.

Additionally, they strengthen specific human qualities. These can be primarily physical such as

  • breathing,
  • flexibility,
  • posture, and
  • strength,

or general human traits such as

  • clarity,
  • courage,
  • determination, and
  • expression.

All physical, mental and emotional faculties are interdependent and ultimately make up your individuality and potential.
