DETACH·MENT

Detachment is experience without judgement.

Mental interference – in the form of opinions, your judgement whether it is good or bad – reduces the intensity of your experience. The experience is still there, but a bit more subdued. It might also take away some of your agency in the sitaution as your focus shifts from the direct experience to the mental plane. If your judgement of the situation or experience is negative, you might create a separation between your physical experience and what you think about it. The classic body-mind separation.

Being detached means immersing yourself fully in the experience without judgement. It’s intense, full of life.
